TURIN BUSINESS FORUM 2013
Potential investors and participants were impressed by presentation made at the business symposium in the Northern Italian city of Turin. It is also the Italy capital of automobiles and industries.
The forum was organised on the 25th October 2013 by the Honorary Consulate of Turin in collaboration with the Ghana Embassy in Rome, The Torino Chamber of Commerce and The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). Participants had the opportunity to know about governmental policies, business opportunities, cost of doing business, the laws and regulations and Italian success stories in Ghana.
Her Excellency Mrs. Evelyn Anita Stokes-Hayford Ghana Ambassador to Italy in her presentation stated that Ghana and Italy have a long history of productive cooperation dating back to Ghana’s independence era. She intimated that some Ghanaian pilots were trained by Italians and even the Akosombo dam was built with the help of Italian engineers. She disclosed that Italy is playing a major role in Ghana’s infrastructure development particularly, in the energy and Gas sector. She pointed out that Ghana has enjoyed a stable multi-party political environment for almost two decades with continuous macro-economic stability and investors will also have the opportunity to target the over 300 million Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) citizens since Ghana is the gate-way to West Africa.
Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh, The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre was the main speaker of the forum. She took the over 250 participants gathered at the sala Giollitti of the Torino Chamber of Commerce through a graphic illustration on the latest trade and investment opportunities in Ghana.
The most promising sectors included Oil and Gas services, Energy, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Agro- Processing, Manufacturing, Tourism, ICT and Financial Services. She received a rapturous ovation after her impressive presentation. She took time to answer questions from the participants which even the doubting Thomases were convinced that Ghana is the preferred investment destination. As if that was not enough there was also a tete-a-tete conversations with the CEO Mrs Mawuena Trebarh by the participants with interpreters been provider for by the Ghanaianian Immigrants Association in Torino ( GIATO) The well attended seminar included co-operate bodies, individual entrepreneurs and company representatives.
In attendance were Giovanni Maria Ferraris ( president of the city councillors of Torino),Ezio Ercole (Vice-president council of Journalists in Piemont) who was the moderator of the seminar, De Fazio Salvatore (Honorary Consol of Torino) and Simone Attieku ( Political and Economic Affair at the Ghana Embassy in Rome) concluded the list of the high profile personalities

Riparte il corso di avvicinamento alla sartoria a cura di Malick Niang e della sartoria "Baobab Couture". Un momento con cadenza settimanale (martedì mattina, con orario 10:00-12:00) per condividere la passione in ambito sartoriale, per migliorare o creare conoscenza di tutto ciò che riguarda l'arte del taglio e del cucito, per fare nuove amicizie e conoscere diverse culture, storie e mondi. Per il corso è necessario possedere una macchina da cucire, per dare ampio spazio alla pratica e mettere in atto tutte le nozioni apprese. E' previsto un piccolo rimborso per i materiali e le spese sostenute dal laboratorio.

Festa del Sacrificio 'Eid al-Adha' a Torino
Milioni di musulmani in tutto il mondo celebrano l’annuale Festa del Sacrificio Eid al-Adha.
A Torino i fedeli hanno raggiunto Parco Dora intorno alle 9 per la preghiera.
Eid al-Adha detto anche Eid al-Kabir è una delle più importate Festa islamica dedicata ad Abramo che era pronto a sacrificare suo figlio Ismail come atto di obbedienza a Dio: all'ultimo istante Dio intervenne e diede ad Abramo un montone da sacrificare al posto del figlio.
